I have been going to this clinic whenever I am not feeling well, which is why this recent experience was very disappointing and frustrating. I had a check-up last Sunday because I’ve been experiencing my first menstrual period after my VBAC delivery last December, and the bleeding has been heavy and prolonged (more than 2 weeks). My consultation with Dr. Shital Vaidya only lasted for a few minutes. During the consultation, she explained that she would not perform an ultrasound at the clinic because of the active heavy bleeding. Instead, she said she would send a request to my insurance for ultrasound approval, and once approved, the clinic would call me so I could schedule the scan and proceed with a proper care plan. Wanting to follow up, I checked my insurance application yesterday and found that no ultrasound request had been submitted at all. I called the clinic to ask for clarification, and the receptionist told me the doctor had already left, but that they would leave a note for the nurse to call me back. Today, the nurse called me and asked what happened, so I explained everything again. Her response was simply that maybe the doctor forgot and that she would remind her to send the pre-approval request. What upset me most was the complete lack of urgency, accountability, or even a simple apology for the delay and oversight. As a patient dealing with ongoing heavy bleeding, this situation made me feel dismissed and unsupported. I understand that mistakes can happen, but better communication, follow-up, and empathy are very important in healthcare. Unfortunately, this experience has made me decide to seek care from another OB-GYN.

Very disappointed with Unicare Medical Centre. After my son's initial consultation, the insurance pre-approval request was apparently forgotten and never submitted. During the follow-up visit, we were assured that it would be sent immediately and that we would receive an update. However, it has now been more than 3 months, and there has still been no response from either the Doctor the clinic! As a result, the diagnostic test required to identify my son's condition has been unnecessarily delayed. Even after two visits, they completely neglected to update us on the status of the approval or the next steps in the treatment plan which is highly irresponsible and unprofessional. It felt like there was no intention to properly follow through on treatment and thier priority is not the cure of my Son! Our experience gave the impression that the clinic is not genuinely patient-focused. Without meaningful improvements, patients may find it difficult to place their trust with this clinic.

Dr. Shoba is one of the best dermatologists in the UAE. She explained clearly the reasons behind my skin problems and made sure that I fully understood my condition. What impressed me the most is that with just one look, she already knew my situation and immediately identified the things I need to avoid. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and caring toward her patients. Highly recommended.
