I visited Dr. Antonio to get help with my pelvic floor dysfunction. Surgery was almost immediately recommended. I was cautious and sought a second opinion, which advised against surgery, but I ultimately decided to proceed. Unfortunately, what was promised to improve - did not treat, but rather worsened my condition. What had been unbearable some of the time became unbearable day and night. My symptoms were not resolved, and my overall quality of life declined. There was no acknowledgment of the after effects of the surgery, and little to no support present towards correcting or improving the situation. Why am I writing this? If you are considering a visit for pelvic floor dysfunction and surgery is suggested, I strongly encourage you to pause, seek multiple opinions, and consider physicians who offer or coordinate comprehensive conservative care, including pelvic floor physiotherapy. Iโm sharing this in the hope that others can make a fully informed decision. I wish you good health.
