The consultation was initially quoted at AED 400 and then “discounted” to AED 300 — which itself raises concerns about transparency. The Real Issue – Not Money, But Ethics & Process I am a resident of Dubai since 2005 and a businessman — cost is not my concern. The issue is lack of justification, clarity, and medical responsibility. What Happened My 13-year-old son was in severe pain due to a suspected fracture. The doctor proceeded without any X-ray facility available in the clinic. We were informed to go to another location (Oud Metha), then redirected elsewhere across the road — creating confusion and delay. Despite knowing there was no proper diagnostic setup, the case was still taken and billed immediately. At that moment, as a concerned parent under stress, I paid — assuming X-ray or further process was included.
