I had a very disappointing experience with this Life Pharmacy branch that reflected a clear lack of professionalism, patient guidance, and customer care. I mistakenly ordered a glucose monitoring device online because I assumed it was a 2-in-1 device for both blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring, due to my limited knowledge of medical devices. After receiving a message that the item would be arranged from a nearby branch, I visited the pharmacy while attending appointments at the clinic associated with Life Pharmacy. When I asked the pharmacist to assist me in reviewing the order, she initially refused and stated that customer service would not respond. After I insisted that she try contacting them, she finally made the call, and they answered her immediately. However, even after handing me the device, there was no attempt to guide or educate me as a patient. I was not asked whether I understood how to use the device, nor was I informed that it was intended only for glucose testing and not for blood pressure monitoring. Only after I requested to test the device did the pharmacist personally open the package and explain that it was intended solely for blood sugar testing. I immediately requested to exchange it for the correct blood pressure monitor, but my request was refused despite the fact that I was still inside the pharmacy. The pharmacist herself was the one who opened the package, and only the battery compartment was opened, which was then used as the reason for refusing the exchange. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was when I asked to speak with a manager. Initially, I was informed that no manager or supervisor we have. After insisting several times, the pharmacist contacted the manager, but they proceeded to discuss the issue in Hindi while I was standing there unable to understand the conversation regarding my own concern. In a professional healthcare environment, this felt highly inappropriate and disrespectful. Communication regarding a customer’s issue should be handled in a language the customer can understand. Unfortunately, the manager also refused to offer any practical solution and simply directed me back to the online application and customer service, stating that the pharmacy was not responsible because the order had been placed online. I fully understand that the misunderstanding regarding the product resulted from my own lack of familiarity with medical devices. However, pharmacies are healthcare providers, not ordinary retail stores. Customers rely on pharmacists for guidance, clarification, and professional support, especially when dealing with medical products and devices. Sadly, the entire experience lacked empathy, professionalism, proper communication, and the level of patient care I expected from a trusted healthcare provider.

Well equipped branch, having ample parking available in front. Ms. Riswana and Mr. Bibin always gives a warm welcome and exceptional service. They are knowledgeable and patient in answering my queries and have at many occasions gone out of their way to help me find the medicines requested.
