I have had on going gut issues for the past 10 months and had to change from a Dr in Abu Dhabi to Dubai due to a change in my job. I found Dr Yaser to take over my care and he is literally the best Dr I have delt with. Kind, caring and compassionate. I know I can go to him at anytime when I need and he always listens.
Dr. Yaser has shown professionalism and respect in the medical care provided to me. He shares information and I was allowed to participate in the decision making. He is very knowledgeable in his field and he is devoted for the maximum satisfaction of his client. I am proud of him.
This has been one of the best experiences I have had with a doctor, he is very kind and enthusiastic. He clearly addressed my concerns and was able to put me at ease! I would definitely recommend him!
I was referred to Dr. Yasser El Gazzar by Dr. Mohammed El Toukhy from the pain clinic at King's . I needed to insert a feeding tube because I have neurological issue that causes excruciating pain whenever I try to swallow any solids or liquids even water. Given that my condition is extremely extremely rare called glossopharyngeal neuralgia. By the time I reached to Dr. Yasser I have already lost 16 Kgs and I was about to become underweight and have visited several GI physicians who did not understand what was going on and did not know how to help and others who did not believe me because the swallowing muscles were normal and deemed that it was a psychological issue instead. When I first met Dr. Yasser in March of 2023. He did not only understand the condition and the state of urgency , but he also understood my physical disability and the unique circumstances that comes with it. He was listening very carefully to my lived experience and discussed with me his very clear and methodological thought process and asked questions as we discussed options and while he was dictating his notes. I explained to him that I have I cannot be laying down in the preferred position by GI doctors conducting this surgery. I explained to him that a previous GI physician at another hospital did not listen to me and jeopardised my life during a an endoscopy. He assured me that this won't happen on his watch and that he will avoid that position at all costs and started explaining to me alternative solutions and he changed the OR table to an adjustable one to ensure that he can adjust my position without the need to physically move me and therefore avoiding causing pain. . In the time leading up to the surgery, I really appreciated the fact that the Dr. communicated with me via email and phone calls requesting the documents, tests and medical reports rather than needing to stop by the clinic every time. The communication was effective, clear and efficient. When I was in the OR Dr. Yasser discovered that my stomach's position is unusual. So, he rescheduled the surgery to the next day and ordered an CT scan to ensure that everything is normal. After the CT scan results were in he explained to me that he will be guided by an X-ray during the surgery next day. I really appreciate the fact that Dr. Yasser decided to take step back and ensure that he informed me and ensured my safety, because I found out later that most of the GI doctors with or without his experience would have taken the risk to continue the surgery without an X-ray guiding them. During my stay in the hospital Dr. Yasser ensured that I am well informed of how to care for the wound and use and care for my feeding tube and adjust to the new normal. I am really pleased with my experience treating with Dr. Yasser. It is rare to find a doctor who is knowledgeable and understanding at the same time.
Dr Yaser has been treating me with an excellent care and attention. I found him very approachable, trustworthy and certainly an expert in his profession. Highly recommended!
