I cannot recommend Dr Samina Dornan and her team highly enough. Throughout my pregnancy, I experienced a lot of anxiety and had numerous concerns and questions, but every member of the team was incredibly supportive, responsive, and reassuring. They consistently provided exceptional care and made me feel heard, valued, and supported every step of the way. Farah, the sonographer, is outstanding. She is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and professional, whilst also being warm and approachable. She answers questions confidently and thoroughly, and she never causes unnecessary worry. Her calm and reassuring nature helped ease so many of my anxieties during pregnancy. Dr Hari is meticulous, thorough, and incredibly attentive. She always takes the time to review previous notes, follows up on every concern, no matter how small and ensures nothing is overlooked. She has such an easy-going manner that I always felt comfortable discussing any concerns with her, even when I thought they might seem insignificant. Her attention to detail and commitment to patient care are exceptional. And then there is Dr Samina; the fashionista, the doctor diva, and most importantly, an outstanding consultant! Her fabulous outfits and heels are second to none, but what truly sets her apart is her compassion, honesty, and attention to detail. She is straightforward and transparent whilst remaining incredibly supportive and caring. She always made me feel comfortable discussing any health concerns, and no detail was ever too small. Even simple gestures, such as helping clean ultrasound gel after scans, demonstrate the level of care and attention she gives to her patients. She is always cheerful, welcoming, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of the families she looks after. My C-section on 15th May 2026 was something I was extremely anxious about. Unfortunately, my husband was unable to be present as our older child would not allow him to leave, but the team was more than enough! A special thank you to Dr Amr, the anaesthetist, who was absolutely exceptional. He recognised how frightened and anxious I was and stayed by my side throughout the entire procedure, reassuring me constantly and explaining everything step by step. His kindness, empathy, and calm presence made an enormous difference to my experience. Islam, the OT nurse, was simply incredible. She felt more like a sister than a nurse. She supported me through everything, made a video of my baby for my husband immediately after delivery, cared for my baby in theatre, accompanied me back to the ward, and ensured I felt safe, calm, and cared for throughout. She is truly one of the sweetest and most compassionate people I have ever met. I would also like to thank Seeni (I apologise if I have misspelled her name), the healthcare assistant. She works tirelessly and clearly has immense passion for what she does. Her experience, knowledge, and support with baby care were invaluable. I honestly wished I could take her home with me! My family was not here for my delivery, but the team that cared for me on that day became my family. Their kindness, compassion, professionalism, and dedication will stay with me forever. For anyone looking for a gynaecologist or obstetrician, Dr Samina Dornan and her team are simply outstanding. And if you are having surgery at Al Zahra Hospital, Dr Amr is the anaesthetist you want by your side. Thank you all for making what could have been a very frightening experience into one filled with support, reassurance, and genuine care.

When I was searching for maternity options in Al Zahra Hospital, I chose Dr. Sameena Dornan, and I am so happy with my decision. From the very first appointment, she guided me with the best advice for a healthy pregnancy. I am slim and tall, and she carefully advised me that a natural birth would be best for me. She also recommended attending the antenatal classes included in my package—those classes were amazing, very knowledgeable, and prepared me so well for delivery. Dr. Sameena is extremely gentle, expert in her field, and always explained everything clearly about what was good for me and my baby. At first, I thought she might be expensive, but actually my insurance covered everything under the Diamond Package. Al Zahra has many maternity packages, and each one includes very good services. Her team is also wonderful—always polite, caring, and supportive. Even when Dr. Sameena was not available, her team made sure I felt comfortable and guided. My experience with Dr Dornan and her team was absolutely incredible. Despite having some complications in my pregnancy, Dr Dornan always made me and my husband feel calm and reassured. The team made me feel excited to attend my monthly check up and I cannot recommend them enough.
