I was diagnosed with PTSD four years ago and went through another major trauma last year, so my emotions around seeking therapy were very strong. I came to this clinic because I was looking for a new or different therapeutic approach. My therapist works with Somatic Experiencing Therapy and Internal Family Systems. She is genuinely a kind and warm person, and I liked her as a therapist. However, after ten sessions, I didn’t feel that I was making real progress. The sessions are only 50 minutes long, not a full hour, and unfortunately the results didn’t justify the high cost for me. Even though I received a discount for the first six sessions, the regular price is still very expensive: 850 AED per session plus 25 AED for parking. I understand that therapy in Dubai in general tends to be quite costly, but even compared to the usual market rates, this felt disproportionately high, especially considering the 50-minute session length and the limited progress I experienced. This was my personal experience, and while the therapist herself was lovely, the overall value of the therapy just didn’t meet my expectations.
Absolutely love it! Not only beautiful top notch facilities, more importantly brilliant health and wellness practitioners. Beautiful connections through the group programmes as well as the one to one sessions. Highly recommended.
It was so lovely to meet Amy, the holistic physiotherapist! Her ‘pre and post natal pilates’ group session, overseeing the canal, came at a great time for me, a nice mothers’ day treat. I savored the after-effect, where I seem to have accessed quite a deep level of relaxation. Although there were other participants in the session, I felt the offering was customized to my needs, and I have a feeling that (somehow) the other two participants would share this sentiment. Amy’s approach is evidently shaped by multi-disciplinary, in-depth expertise. She is very pleasant to be around, and I really liked the center’s characteristically warm ambiance. Thank you, bmy, for the nourishing experience!
I recently attended the ‘Navigate Your Emotions’ workshop at Body Mind you Holistic Wellness, and it was indeed a great experience. From the moment I walked in I felt as if I had walked into a calm and welcoming environment, with a positive feeling, and the atmosphere was very relaxing and had a lot of thought put into the healing process. The session itself was very helpful. The facilitator, Zina, was professional, understanding and made sure that everyone feels comfortable in the group. Using activities, mindfulness techniques and group discussions I was able to learn more about my feelings and how to deal with them in a positive way. I left the workshop with a fresher mind, more aware of myself and my capabilities and with some actual strategies for dealing with the ups and downs of life. What makes Body Mind you Holistic Wellness different is that it offers a concept of wellness that considers the mind, spirit, and body as one unit. They have a focus on stress, emotional confusion, and physical fatigue and the importance of balance between the three. No matter what it is that you are seeking from the center, be it emotional guidance, de-stressing or even just a chance to spend some time for yourself, Body Mind you Holistic Wellness provides a number of programs that are geared towards your wellness. I would be happy to suggest Body Mind you Holistic Wellness to anyone who wants to improve themself, heal themself, or find themself. Can’t wait to sign up for some others in the future!
Thank you so much for this special experience; bmy is a sanctuary amidst all the hustle and bustle of Dubai. I appreciate the design of the space; it is aesthetically pleasing and comforting. Every bmy team member I met is characteristically warm and welcoming. I had the privilege of participating in two of bmy’s group offerings: ‘Moving Anger’ and ‘Pre and Post Natal Pilates’. Both sessions positively influenced me. The facilitators, each in her own way, managed to delicately hold space for each of us (the session participants) individually, and all of us, together. I intend, in the near future, to consult with the center’s holistic physiotherapist and homeopathic physician, regarding my mental health challenges, and look forward to engage in more of the center’s enriching offerings.
