Both my wife and I loved the experience. Relaxing vibes all along. The massage therapists were very good and the massage rooms are just amazing. We tried the Awaken signature massage and it’s highly recommended. The spa area has a pool, sauna, steam room, snow shower, and tropical storm shower experience. Refreshments and relaxation beds are complimentary.
Awaken spa - not good for special occasion I was not feeling welcome in this SPA starting from the conversation with the agent while booking my treatment. Well, I knew that this Spa has amazing facilities and I wanted to try them (you can try them only when booking a treatment, not when you stay in the hotel as a guest). So I decided to give a treat for my birthday and my friend gave me The Awaken Hammam experience as a gift (cost around 900AED). While booking the treatment I mentioned that I would like to come in advance and use the outside pool, asked to write it in my booking notes. When I arrived I registered myself, said I'm going to the pool. And when I made myself ready to swim someone arrived and said that I can't use the pool, its only for Gym users and Hotel guests. Instead I was offered "as an exception" to use a Royal Pool. So, I was escorted there. Then the lady immediately left, and I was informed that I have to pay 400 dirhams (I only wanted to stay for 1 hour before going to Milos for lunch). What's the point? While escorting, the lady made an impression that it will be complimentary as it is "an exception". Even if I don't need any exceptions fine, but please give all the details. I got really upset because it's my birthday and I'm in Atlantis The Royal, I was expecting to be treated according to the standard of the hotel, to be treated as a special guest on my special day. But unfortunately, it didn't happen. They keep saying "as an exception for you". What exception? Are you a luxurious spa in a luxurious hotel or not? Also they made a drama with the locker. "No, you can't use it, you come too early. You can use it only for 3 hours!" So, I made myself aware and I didn't need it, told them but they keep insisting that they will give me a locker "as an exception". Does it sound as a good way to treat a customer to you? Birthday amenities were not offered as well. I wouldn't recommend AWEKEN SPA if you have a special occasion and want to treat yourself on a special day. About Spa: Spa is good but there are many places in the world with same level facilities or better (that I experienced myself, I can tell two on the spot). I liked the most relaxation area: nice relaxing music, great view outside. About treatment: Hammam was good. I was explained about the treatment in detail before the start. Lady applied black soap that had nice aroma, escorted me to steam room and offered a cold towel for my face. After that she did scrubbing with kessa, applied rhassoul, did soap massage, send me to shower and after applied the balm. Treatment finished. I was explained how to reach mental clarity and from what I understood the best way is to come to SPA.
Beautiful spa! Came here with two friends for a birthday treat and it was such a lovely and relaxing afternoon. I was even brought out a cake! Facial was so soothing and I came out with glowing skin.
Hassna is an excellent massage therapist , very skilled and meticulous.I had deep tissue massage twice with her in 3 days.She is really amazing.
