American Upright MRI - Dubai

My experience at this radiology center was very disappointing. I specifically chose an open MRI because I’m claustrophobic, so I was already feeling anxious and expected a more understanding and supportive approach. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The staff were unprofessional, and their attitude lacked basic courtesy and empathy toward patients. They were not accommodating, showed very little patience, and made the entire experience feel stressful and uncomfortable instead of supportive and reassuring. Communication was also unclear throughout the process. During the MRI, I was repeatedly told that I was moving, and the scan had to be repeated three times. What should have been a 30-minute procedure ended up taking around 1 hour and 20 minutes, which was extremely exhausting. I clearly requested to complete only one MRI and continue the rest on another day, as I couldn’t stay still for that long. However, despite this, they proceeded to start another scan without my consent, completely disregarding my request and comfort. Overall, the experience felt very poorly managed and inconsiderate. I would not return to this center, and I would not recommend it to others. There are far better places that treat patients with the care, respect, and professionalism they deserve.

I had an excellent experience with the American Upright MRI center. From the moment I arrived, the professionalism and efficiency of the entire team were evident. In addition, the availability of physicians and medical professionals was impressive, ensuring prompt consultations and personalized attention whenever needed. Overall, this diagnostic center sets a remarkable benchmark for quality healthcare services, combining professionalism, comfort, efficiency, and patient-centered care at the highest level.

Excellent service! Everybody was so nice and kind. Sadia the nurse was very sweet, she helped ease my nerves. The lady who assisted me in the scanning room was so kind too. Dr. Tamer was also wonderful explaining the results and gave me healthy snacks! God bless everyone working there! Thank you so much for taking care of me during the test!

I usually do PET/CT scans every year as a routine check, but this is the first time I have done it in this location, where they use even more sophisticated machines and more modern tracers (FAPI instead of FDG). I was super impressed from the moment I entered the clinic until I left, it only took a total of one hour (usually it the whole process takes around 2.5 hours), and I did not have to stay away from children after and didn't feel yucky as the radiation and tracer are much less harmful compared to previous tests that I did. The reception was very friendly, and so were the nurses. Dr. Tamer Abdelgawad took his time to explain this new procedure, and I was just amazed how quick it took! The whole process was much more comfortable than usual. Thank you Dr. Tamer for being able to share this new technology with us in Dubai. Definitely recommend coming here to do these kind of exams.

Friendly staff and excellent service. Dr. Tamer was very accommodating and took the time to explain every detail after my PET/CT scan, which gave me great confidence in AUMRI’s top-notch, patient-oriented care. The results were delivered promptly and as expected.
