My friends have been going to Afroglow for some time and I always saw how beautiful their nails are so I decided to go myself. And when I say, this is now my go-to place, it really is. I’ve already booked a day in my calendar allocated for Afroglow for a monthly manicure and pedicure because Eunice just slays all the way. She does my nails so well and she’s such a kind, sweet lady. Plus the salon is super affordable as well.
I have been coming to this salon for a while now and the services were always good up until the last two times and the services are getting poor. 1st Experience - I did Boho with French braids and the hair was falling out hours after leaving the salon. 2nd Experience - I did French braids and they did not put a knot on the end and the braids were coming out same night I left the salon. Also, I was charged AED 250 and apparently the lady at the reception wrote in the books only AED 200 and pocketed AED 50. Its only a small amount but why the dishonesty on top of bad services. I had to come back for the repair of the hair 1 day after consuming my time. In addition, no apology for the poor services. Last time i"m coming here to make my hair. 1/10.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. Hair not straight. No solution offered from management not happy but what can you do. Would never recommend or return. Maybe good at braids but this stylist couldn’t cut - one length hair cut is hairdressing 101 basis cut
I am extremely disappointed with the service at Afroglow. I was quoted 150 for singles plating under a February promotion, which I confirmed beforehand via WhatsApp, and for that promo hence i went to the salon. At no point was it mentioned that the promotion only applied to certain hair lengths. After my hair was already unplaited and washed, I was suddenly told I needed to pay more because my hair was “short,” and that I also had to buy braids on site. The price kept changing, and I eventually paid 285, while my friend paid 150 for the same service. I was told “normal boxes are big boxes,” yet I received medium boxes, which are normal to me and the end result was not even good. Because of the unexpected extra cost, I could not even do my nails as planned. It is unacceptable for a professional salon to give different prices to clients without clear communication and to change pricing mid-service. This experience felt misleading and unfair.
